cefn coed abandoned  is a photographic series produced in 2025 that examines the hospital as a site suspended between presence and absence. through photographic observations of the building, this series of images considers how institutional architecture retains memory, authority and emotional weight after its original function has ceased. once a place of care and control, cefn coed hospital is reframed as a silent structure shaped by layered histories, inviting reflection on how mental health, community and identity remain embedded within the site.
